Welcome you all to the course English 3, which is the course for English at intermediate level.

This course is designed to further develop the learner's confidence and fluency in using the English language and to enrich their learning experience through interactive lessons and communicative exercises. Learners are able to  study, understand and demonstrate knowledge of a vocabulary and grammar range at intermediate level covered in lessons. This course also helps learners speak confidently and use acceptable expressions in daily communication, listen and respond (orally and in writing) to each other, recorded texts and video clips, show understanding of the reading texts by responding to questions, and respond to writing exercises in the module appropriately.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After finishing this course, learners can:

  1. Describe means of transport, how often do student use them, and which one is their favourite
  2. Apply target vocabulary in talking about leisure activities such as playing football, going to to the beach, sight-seeing around the town. 
  3. Describe people's appearance by using specific features
  4. Talk about Christmas in the UK and the holiday where students live
  5. Use "like" and "as" when compare people and things
  6. Apply the use of 'in spite of', 'despite', 'although', 'even though' and 'though' to connect two contrasting ideas
  7. Use "so" and "such"  with adjectives or adverbs to make them stronger 
  8. Talk about past situation situation that is no longer true and process of becoming familiar with something
  9. Apply the use of 'wish' and 'if only' to talk about things you would like to change
  10. Describe the result of a certain condition
  11. Talk about future actions that: will be in progress at a specific time in the future and to talk about something that will be completed before a specific time in the future
  12. Apply the use of modals in different situations: deductions about the past, permission etc.
  13. Understand  Spoken English in different common contexts at pre-intermediate English level
  14. Talk and Discuss about different topics in English at pre-intermediate English level
  15. Understand  written English in different contexts at pre-intermediate English level
  16. Write different common topics for daily communication at pre-intermediate English level

                                    LEARNING EXPERIENCE :

                                    This course will have 5 modules with 6 lessons, focusing on fundamental English skills: Vocabulary and Grammar, Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing at intermediate level.

                                    Each lesson will have one or several videos and links to be thoroughly studied, after that, students have to complete a quiz. After each module, students will be asked to do the progress tests and assignments. 

                                    During the study process (6 weeks), the allocation of study is very important. If you have any questions, please connect with the mentors for support. 

                                    COURSE FEATURES:

                                    • This course is designed for learners with a good basic ability or who can improve a lot in all areas with an equivalence to B1 level according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). This course will have 5 modules with 6 lessons, focusing on foundation English skills: Vocabulary and Grammar, Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
